Former Banker Behind Lutnick-Epstein Allegation Dies

Simon Andriesz, 57, a British former BGC managing director, died by suicide in late September 2026. He had told the FBI, the U.S. federal investigative agency, that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had undeclared business ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Lutnick says he had no personal or professional relationship with Epstein and has not been accused of wrongdoing related to Epstein.
