MPs seek independent inquiry into City watchdog after whistleblower death

Cross-party MPs, led by John McDonnell, said the Financial Conduct Authority, the watchdog, must face an inquiry over its treatment of whistleblowers. It follows the death of Simon Andriesz, a former BGC Partners employee, in Thailand on 23 September. The MPs said the FCA should fund an independent review. The FCA said it will examine its handling of his case.
