
Supreme Court opens October term with Boulder climate liability case
The Supreme Court starts its October 2026 term Oct. 5 with arguments in Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Inc. v. Commissioners of Boulder County, No. 25-170. The justices will decide if a Colorado state-court lawsuit seeking to hold energy companies liable can move ahead. The Court said it is the day's first case.
