Supreme Court opens October term with Boulder climate case

The U.S. Supreme Court opens its October 2026 term Oct. 5 with oral argument in Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Inc. v. Commissioners of Boulder County, No. 25-170. The justices will consider whether a Colorado state-court lawsuit seeking to hold energy companies liable may go forward. It is the first case argued that day, the Court said.
