
Lidl GB Tops £13bn Sales as Profit Jumps 30%
Lidl Great Britain's sales rose 10% to over £13bn in the year to February, while pre-tax profit, or earnings before tax, climbed 30% to £245.5m from £156.8m. The discounter says it spent £315m on price cuts and promotions, with Deluxe range sales up 12%. That scale and loyal customers could pressure rivals on price and premium lines.
