Bosnia holds complex general election on Oct. 4

More than 3.4 million voters can vote in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. They will choose a three-person presidency — one Bosniak, one Croat, one Serb — and leaders for 14 governments spanning two entities, Brcko District and 10 cantons, or regional districts. With so many layers, long coalition talks to form governments are likely afterward.
