Green Party promises $4b intercity rail plan

The Green Party says it would spend $4 billion on trains between cities if elected, RNZ reported. The plan includes an overnight Auckland-Wellington service, a Christchurch-Dunedin link and extending the Te Huia service to Tauranga. Co-leader Marama Davidson and transport spokesperson Julie Anne Genter announced it on 3 October.
