Kyiv Mayor Urges Wartime Readiness as Russian Strikes Intensify

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko warned Oct. 2 that intensified Russian drone and missile strikes are 'tearing Kyiv apart,' a 'very dramatic situation' for infrastructure, housing and logistics — meaning power, homes, and supply lines. He said Kyiv, home to about three million, cannot live as in peacetime and must move to a war footing, or full wartime operations.
