
Kyiv mayor warns Russian strikes are tearing capital apart, urges war footing
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko warned Oct. 2 that intensified Russian drone and missile strikes are "tearing Kyiv apart," calling conditions a "very dramatic situation" for infrastructure, housing and logistics. He said Kyiv cannot continue living as in peacetime and should move to a war footing to sustain a city of about three million.
