Carney Fast-Tracks Pacific Link Pipeline

Prime Minister Mark Carney named the proposed Alberta-to-west-coast oil pipeline, now called Pacific Link, a project of national interest on Oct. 1, 2026. The status places it under one federal review — a single approval process — which could speed up a decision on the crude-export plan.
