Labour would limit whole-farm conversions to forestry

Labour would bring in rules to limit whole farms being turned into forests, agriculture spokesperson Jo Luxton told about 350 farmers at a debate at Mystery Creek near Hamilton on Wednesday. She said Labour would urgently review the Emissions Trading Scheme — the carbon market — to discourage planting pines for carbon credits, RNZ reported.
