Carney Designates Pacific Link as Project of National Interest

Prime Minister Mark Carney listed the proposed West Coast Oil Pipeline, now known as Pacific Link, as a project of national interest on Oct. 1, 2026. The designation moves the Alberta-to-west-coast proposal into a single federal regulatory review, fast-tracking approval consideration for the crude export pipeline.
