Morocco Election: PAM Wins 97 Seats, Must Build Coalition

Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri's Authenticity and Modernity Party won 97 of 395 seats in Morocco's Sept. 23 House of Representatives election. Since 198 seats are needed for an outright majority — direct control — she must negotiate coalition partners, meaning alliances with other parties, to form a government after King Mohammed VI appointed her prime minister.
