Apple Pay Comes to India Via Axis Bank

Apple Pay launches in India on September 29, 2026, with Axis Bank as its first banking partner. Eligible Axis cardholders can add credit cards to Apple Wallet, Apple's stored-payments app, for online checkout and tap-to-pay at supported terminals. At first, only enabled merchants will accept it.
