Australia's Coalition Drops to Record-Low 22% in Guardian Poll

Australia's conservative Coalition dropped to 22% first-preference support in the Guardian Essential poll published 29 September 2026, down from 26% in August and equal to its worst result in this survey. The poll of 1,022 people was taken under leader Angus Taylor. In my view, it pressures the opposition to steady its core voters amid shifting support.
