Australia's Main Opposition Party Hits a New Low in Polls

Australia's Coalition, the main conservative opposition group, was first choice for 22% in the Guardian Essential survey published 29 September 2026, down from 26% in August and matching its lowest ever in that poll, like a team hitting its worst score. It surveyed 1,022 people under leader Angus Taylor. In my view, it must steady loyal supporters as opinions swing.
