Plan to licence property agents under new regulator

Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner told Labour's conference the Government will bring in a law for an independent regulator of property agents. Ministers said agents in England and Wales would need a licence to operate. It would set standards and complaints rules, and could remove licences for breaches. Ministers said it would protect about five million leaseholders.
