Danish King and Queen Travel to Tasmania for Memorial for Queen Mary's Father

King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark traveled to Hobart, Tasmania, in September 2026 for a private memorial service for the queen's father, John Donaldson. The Danish Royal House confirmed the closed service. Donaldson died in Hobart on April 11 at age 84. Mary was born and raised in Tasmania.
