Gareth Ellis will join York Knights as assistant head coach for the 2027 season, working under Mark Applegarth. York confirmed the move on 30 September, BBC Sport reported. The former Wakefield, Leeds, Wests Tigers and Hull FC forward was director of rugby and wellbeing at Hull FC.
