Government plans licensing regulator for property agents
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner told Labour's conference the Government will legislate for an independent regulator of property agents. Ministers said agents in England and Wales would need a licence. The regulator would set conduct and complaints rules and could revoke licences for breaches. Ministers said it would protect about five million leaseholders.
