Burnham to float triple-lock review for next election plan

Andy Burnham will use his first speech as Labour leader to the party conference in Liverpool on 29 September 2026 to suggest reviewing the state pension triple lock — the rule that raises pensions each year — for the next election manifesto. Labour says it will keep the policy for this parliament.
