ChromeOS support ends in mid-2034 ahead of Android successor

Google will stop ChromeOS updates and security fixes in mid-2034 as it moves to Googlebook OS, built on Android. For some Chromebooks, that cuts short the promised 10 years of support. Google says many newest models will be able to upgrade directly, with extra help for eligible devices covered past 2034.
