Google to stop Chromebook updates in mid-2034

Google will provide Chromebook updates and safety fixes until mid-2034, then stop to shift to Googlebook OS, based on Android. That cuts the promised 10 years short for some devices. Google says many newest models can switch directly, with transition help for qualifying devices covered beyond 2034.
