Newcastle beat Penrith with 12 men to reach first Grand Final in 25 years

Newcastle Knights beat Penrith Panthers in the NRL preliminary final – effectively a semi-final – to reach their first Grand Final in 25 years. They played more than half the match with 12 men and came from behind to win, ending Penrith's bid for a fifth premiership in six years. They face Sydney Roosters on Sunday, 4 October.
