Florida Asks Court to Require Outside Safety Review for New OpenAI Models

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has asked a court to stop OpenAI from training new models without safety guardrails approved by an outside reviewer. Reported Sept. 28, the request expands Florida's June child-safety lawsuit against OpenAI and would put model development under external approval.
