Experienced BASE jumper, 27, dies in 700-foot wingsuit fall in Utah

A 27-year-old experienced BASE jumper died Sunday in Hyrum, Utah, after a 700-foot fall. The Cache County Sheriff's Office said his wingsuit — a suit with wing-like fabric to slow descent — failed to provide enough lift, causing high-speed impact. He died at the scene in mountainous terrain east of Millville. His name was withheld pending family notification.
