Thailand Flooding Spreads Beyond Bangkok to 20 Provinces

Flooding was reported in 20 Thai provinces on Sept. 26, spreading beyond Bangkok, where all 50 districts face emergency conditions. Nakhon Ratchasima, Chanthaburi, Phetchabun, Chon Buri, Chachoengsao and Buri Ram were among those affected. Warnings had flagged flash floods — sudden, fast-rising water — and heavy rain through Sept. 27 as low pressure, a storm system, moves toward central Thailand.
