FBI Co-Deputy Director Bailey to Step Down After a Year

Andrew Bailey will step down as FBI co-deputy director after about a year, he announced Sept. 28, to rejoin family in Missouri. The former Missouri attorney general, the state's top lawyer, started in September 2025 with Dan Bongino, later Christopher Raia. He thanked Director Kash Patel, Trump and Attorney General Todd Blanche. Patel publicly thanked him for his dedicated service.
