Floods Hit Many Parts of Thailand Beyond Bangkok

Flooding was reported in 20 provinces, or regions, in Thailand on Sept. 26, spreading beyond Bangkok, where all 50 districts are under emergency. Nakhon Ratchasima, Chanthaburi, Phetchabun, Chon Buri, Chachoengsao and Buri Ram were among those hit. Warnings had flagged flash floods, or sudden flooding, and heavy rain through Sept. 27 as a low-pressure storm system moves toward central Thailand.
