No clear plan replaced Māori health agency, Tribunal finds

The Waitangi Tribunal says the Government closed Te Aka Whai Ora, the Māori health agency, on 30 June 2024 without a clear replacement for Māori health. It says promised Crown plans did not happen, leaving a gap of nearly 18 months. The finding is in Part 2 of its priority report, released 25 September 2026.
