U.S. Presses Australia Over Plan to Limit Harmful Online Content

Washington urged Canberra on Sept. 22 to drop its 2026 online safety bill, which would require platforms to hide content deemed unsafe. The U.S. says the safety test is unclear. Australia says the bill lets users avoid personalized feeds, and sees no risk to the alliance.
