New York and Bavaria return 1892 Lang painting to Heilbronner heirs

The New York State Department of Financial Services in New York said New York and Bavarian authorities returned Albert Lang's 1892 Music (Arcadian Scene) to the heirs of Sofie Heilbronner on 22 September 2026. It described the work as a painting lost as a result of Nazi persecution. It had been held by the Bavarian State.
