Spencer Apologises to Morgan Over Wrong Diana Photos Claim

Earl Spencer apologised to Piers Morgan on 22 September 2026, the publication day of his book Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, for wrongly saying Morgan published intrusive gym photos of Diana. The Sunday Mirror ran them on 7 November 1993, when Morgan was at The Sun; he joined the Daily Mirror in October 1995. Morgan had threatened legal action.
