UK Brings First Charge in Rwanda's 1994 Genocide Case

Vincent Brown, 65, a doctor formerly called Vincent Bajinya, appeared at London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on 22 September 2026. Prosecutors allege — claim without proof yet — he ordered six killings in Kigali in April 1994. He is the first person charged in Britain over the Rwandan genocide and did not enter a plea of guilty or not guilty.
