Venezuela Pledges Elections at UN, Offers No Date

Venezuela’s acting president Delcy Rodriguez told the UN General Assembly on Sept. 24, 2026, that elections will come as part of a shift to full democracy, but named no date. She said talks with opposition groups have begun and state institutions would ensure a fair, open vote, with timing left to Venezuelans.
