High-Mileage EVs Beat Petrol Cars on MOT Failure Rates

High-mileage electric cars fail Britain's MOT safety checks less often than petrol cars of the same age, an analysis of 47.4 million tests by New AutoMotive for the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association found. At 90,000-120,000 miles, 16.5% failed versus 22.1% for petrol; over 120,000 miles, 16% versus 23.5%. Gaps were small at lower mileages.
