Meta buys emissions savings from recycled PET in first MacroCycle deal

Meta has paid Cambridge-based MacroCycle for emissions avoided by recycling PET plastic, its first deal of this kind. Set up as environmental attribute credits, the deal gives MacroCycle steady income for its first U.S. commercial plant. Meta can count the cuts toward its carbon footprint and secure supply for lower-carbon packaging and hardware.
