Isar Aerospace's Spectrum Reaches Orbit — a European First for Commercial Launch

Isar Aerospace's Spectrum rocket reached orbit on September 5, 2026, launching from Andøya Spaceport in Arctic Norway with five small satellites. The Munich startup's March 2025 test flight crashed after 30 seconds. Chancellor Friedrich Merz called the success "the beginning of a new era" for European space access.
