
Sarandon says agencies are still telling directors not to hire her over Palestine stance
Susan Sarandon said at a Venice Film Festival press conference on 6 September 2026 that she is still losing film roles over her pro-Palestine stance, telling Variety that "agencies are still telling people not to hire her." UTA dropped her in 2023 after rally comments. Sarandon was speaking for The Echo Chamber, whose director Andrea Pallaoro was warned against casting her.
