Eisenberg's 'The Debut' premieres at Telluride, launches Oscar bids for Moore and Giamatti

Jesse Eisenberg's third film as writer-director, *The Debut*, premiered at the 53rd Telluride Film Festival. Variety reports the screenings position Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti as Oscar contenders. A24, which acquired the film in April 2025, plans a December 2026 theatrical release. The film next screens at TIFF before closing the 70th BFI London Film Festival.
