Jonah Lomu's widow failed in legal bid to block new documentary

A feature-length documentary about All Blacks wing Jonah Lomu opens in New Zealand cinemas on 3 September 2026. His widow Nadene took legal action to block the film and declined to participate, The Guardian reports. The reasons remain undisclosed. Directors Gavin Fitzgerald and Vea Mafile'o proceeded without her involvement. Australian release follows on 8 October.
