First feature by a female Roma director screens at an A-list festival, premiering in Venice Spotlight

Alina Șerban's feature debut 'I Matter' world-premiered in the Venice Spotlight section of the 2026 Venice Film Festival on 6 September. Billed as the first feature from a female Roma director to screen at an A-list festival, it stars newcomer Denisa Farcaș and expands Șerban's 2021 short.
