Bandai Namco debuts new Gundam mobile suit in a game before anime or model kits

Bandai Namco's Gundam Rogue Orbit, shown at the September 3, 2026 PlayStation State of Play, introduces the Gundam Helix — a new mobile suit appearing in a video game before any anime series or retail model-kit line. The Gundam franchise has debuted new entries as anime and model kits first since 1979. Rogue Orbit launches March 5, 2027 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
