Bertolucci's final screenplay screens in Venice competition

"The Echo Chamber," Andrea Pallaoro's fourth feature, premieres in the Venezia 83 Competition on 6 September 2026 at 19:45 in the Sala Grande. The film is built from the final screenplay by Bernardo Bertolucci, completed before his death in 2018. The Italy-Belgium co-production stars Alicia Vikander, Luca Marinelli and Susan Sarandon, with a runtime of 123 minutes (Biennale; The Hollywood Reporter, 2026-09-03).
