Final Fantasy 7 Revelation gets story DLC after director's reversal

Director Naoki Hamaguchi announced on 3 September 2026 that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will receive two post-launch story DLC expansions, focused on Sephiroth and Vincent Valentine. He had previously said the game would provide a definitive ending with no main-narrative DLC. Hamaguchi cited fan and media requests as the reason. No release dates or pricing were given. The base game launches 8 April 2027 on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 and PC.
