Camilo Séptimo keyboardist Jonathan Meléndez found murdered with family near Mexico City

Jonathan Meléndez, 38, keyboardist of Latin indie-rock band Camilo Séptimo, was found murdered on 1 September 2026 at his home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico. His pregnant wife Ana Paula, 35, their three-year-old daughter, and nanny Aleyda Romero were also killed. A six-year-old boy survived. Authorities have arrested two suspects, one identified as a collaborator of Meléndez.
