
Women's football transfer spending tops $28m as summer window closes
Global spending on international women's football transfer fees this summer surpassed $28m (£20.7m), per Fifa's mid-year report — more than double last summer's $12.3m and up from $1.23m in 2022. English clubs led with $8m, ahead of Spain ($6.6m) and Germany ($4.9m).
