Prime Video's God of War to Reshoot from Scratch After Bicep Injury Forces Recast

Prime Video's God of War will scrap all previously shot footage and restart filming in mid-October in Vancouver after original Kratos actor Ryan Hurst tore a bicep on set in June, four months into production. Surgery would have delayed the restart into 2027. Dave Bautista, 57, closed his deal in late August and is now in week three of a two-month physical build for the role. Deadline reported none of the original footage will be reused.
