SPCK Group acquires Eerdmans, uniting two historic Christian publishers under one owner

SPCK Group, the London publisher founded in 1698, announced on 2 September 2026 its acquisition of Grand Rapids, Michigan–based Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., founded in 1911. The deal unites two of the oldest names in Christian publishing under common ownership for the first time, combining more than 5,000 titles across theology, biblical studies and church history. Neither party has disclosed the purchase price.
