St Helens' Mark Percival to retire at 32 and face shoulder replacement

St Helens centre Mark Percival, 32, will retire at the end of the 2026 Super League season after 273 appearances and five Super League titles. He told the club website his body was telling him to stop while his mind wanted to play on. Percival plans to have his shoulder replaced so he can pick up his children without the symptoms he struggled with this season.
